Welcome to ULearning Skillnet

The ULearning Skillnet was set up in January 2008 to provide industry and academic training providers with an opportunity to integrate, design, and develop a number of programmes in the areas of Science, Engineering, and Technology. Whilst also offering these programmes at Diploma, Degree, and Masters Level to industry learners.  The network provides subventions to on average over 200 individuals yearly to take part in educational programmes and includes up to 70 member companies. The ULearning Skillnet is funded by member companies and the Training Networks Programme, an initiative of Skillnets Ltd. funded from the National Training Fund through the Department of Education and Skills.

This Network has paved the way for collaboration between industry and educational institutions in Ireland, giving both parties an opportunity to voice their requirements and concerns and establish what is required to maintain a highly skilled workforce.  It continues to provide a platform for the development and collaboration of industry designed accredited educational programmes.

The success of the ULearning Skillnet has been achieved through its unique approach in bringing together leading experts into a cooperative network. Regularly the ULearning Skillnet Network hosts a number of successful events which provides an opportunity for high profile speakers at international and national level, from multinationals and SMEs to discuss the importance of upskilling and education for Ireland's future. If you or your organisation is interested in paving the way for collaboration between Industry & Educational Institutions in Ireland.  Exploring how the collaboration can become a mutually rewarding experience for the ULearning Skillnet members in the context of improving industry education then please contact us.
